Becketwood Cooperative

Location:  Minneapolis, MN

Becketwood Cooperative sits on a 12 acre site atop Mississippi River bluffs. The
position at the river’s edge makes it imperative that necessary steps are taken for a thriving, diverse landscape that protects the river ecosystem. A plan and implementation strategy was developed to improve environmental sustainability and sensitivity while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing landscape. A series of green infrastructure improvements were designed and implemented ranging from rain gardens, swales, tree canopy management, woodland restoration, and turf replacement.
