A premier rental condo community built in 1971 that features two large buildings, a wooded perimeter, and a large pond. Our relationship with Wayzata Villa began with the creation of a reforestation plan to mitigate forest clear cutting conducted by a contractor. The plan not only helped the Villa create a new, healthy forest, but avoid a regulatory lawsuit as well. The success of the improvements led to the creation of a property master plan and several other individual landscape plans addressing damage from runoff, entry experience, lighting, foundation plantings, screening and erosion control. The master planning process, a collaborative effort between the landscape sub-committee, Omega Management, identified issues with the existing landscape, opportunities for improvement, and created a prioritized project inventory which provides the Wayzata Villa board with cost estimates and installation periods. This plan created a systematic renovation process of the landscape that is beautiful and fiscally responsible.
