El Dorado Residence

Designed as a complement to the client’s existing structure on site, this landscape design used a “plinth” form vocabulary to contrapose the sloping grade to achieve the programmatic goals. A pool, spa, fireplace and multiple seating areas were integrated seamlessly to create an inside/outside relationship. Ultimately, the material selection was paramount. Water, fire, stone, light and vegetation were woven seamlessly together as a minimalist composition to create a timeless space that can be used for generations.
