St. Phillips Church in the Highlands celebrated its 300th year in 2018. The churchyard is a bucolic cemetery with an eclectic mix of monumental and unique gravestones. To serve the community and meet modern burial needs, the church vestry chose to build a columbarium. This new churchyard expansion is a memorial space for funerals and interment ceremonies, and an intimate, quiet hollow on the edge of a wood. The caps and wallstone were salvaged from the old cemetery wall and used to house the modular niches.
