Minneapolis Convention Center Meadow

Urban Ecosystems served as a horticultural design consultant, to assist with the establishment of a flower meadow at the new Minneapolis Convention Center Plaza. This park is a green roof atop an underground parking structure, and was redesigned to celebrate the plants of the upper midwest. Our team designed and helped establish the hyperfloral meadows which provide pollinator habitat and seasonal colors accents for the spaces. The project is designed to be sustainable, and is applying to be the first project in Minnesota to be certified by the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES).
