‍Located on historic Lake Street in the heart of downtown Wayzata, the Wayzata Blu condominiums landscape integrates distinctive details and materials to create a seamless relationship with the architecture. The streetscape is lined with oaks, ornamental grasses, and corten steel to create a human scaled corridor, acting as a respite to the adjacent railroad and street. A memorial space on the southwest corner of the site pays homage to the Asao family, ever important in the Wayzata community, with a seating element made of pure oolitic limestone, a water feature and equisetum plantings - designed for timelessness, community gathering, and beauty – embodying the Asao Family spirit.
